As a creator, I have been immersed in the world of art for as long as I can remember, but I didn’t fully embrace the title of "artist" until much later in life. For a long time, I believed that the title of “artist” was something others bestowed upon you, and I suppose I gave up waiting for that approval! Over time, I realized that we are all artists—every one of us is born with the innate ability to create. As children, we instinctively explore and express ourselves through play, whether it's with clay, Legos, paint, or mud. But somewhere along the way, society strips away this sense of wonder, and we start to believe the lie that we are not artists. Even worse, we begin to tell ourselves this story. My mission, as both an artist and an educator, is to help people rediscover their creative voice and rekindle the passion for creation that resides in all of us.
I consider myself an artist-of-all-medium, constantly experimenting with new materials, subjects, and techniques. For me, art isn't a destination—it's an ongoing journey. Every new medium or artistic process I explore feels like a side-quest, an opportunity to learn and grow. My favorite palette consists of bright, vibrant, and warm colors, especially cobalt blue, maroon, and pumpkin orange. These hues energize me and allow me to infuse my work with life and emotion. Whether I’m painting, sculpting, or creating mixed-media pieces, I approach each project with a sense of adventure, always open to what new discoveries may unfold.
As an arts educator, social justice advocate, and environmentalist, I strive to foster spaces where creativity and exploration are encouraged, and where individuals of all ages can feel empowered to express themselves without fear of judgment. I believe that art is a tool for personal growth, healing, and connection. Through my work and teaching, I aim to spark a love for art that goes beyond just the end product. My artwork tells stories, celebrates life, and explores the things that make us human—what makes us tick. Above all, I hope to inspire others to embrace their creativity, take risks, and explore the world through the lens of their own artistic journey.
I hope you join me on this adventure!
